When one thinks of a Tarot deck, one thinks of divinations and mystical arts, but this was not always so. The origins of the Tarot deck as we know it today can be traced back to 14th Century Italy, and its symbolisms can be traced back even farther. When it surfaced over five hundred years ago, the Tarot deck was used to play games, much the same way a poker deck is used today.
